Slumber Land

Slumber Land
As I lay down on my bed at night
In the corner of my little room
My lids get heavier and heavier
And as soon as I close my eyes
I gradually fall asleep.
As my consciousness enters the sleeping state
I see spirals of light in different colors;
As well, I hear humming voices inside my head.
Then suddenly I feel my body floating up unobstructed;
Through the ceiling then up to the rooftop;
Then gradually floating higher and higher up around the neighborhood;
Looking down the vicinity of my domicile;
And when I am done I will to float high up straight to the sky;
And higher still up above to where the planets and the stars dwell.
Down below is my slumber land;
Of vast greenfield, meadows and foliage;
Far beyond are rolling hills and mountaintops and peaks;
Where rivers originate and flow down to the plain;
Then continuously race down to the oceans afar.
I continue flying, passing old houses and tall buildings;
Over some villages of huts, cottages and seeing people doing their chores;
In farms, on shops, and in any places where humans work for a living;
Over there are pigs, chickens, dogs, cats playing with little children;
Back farther and far indeed are the brutes in their habitats as contented as everything else in this vast creation;
I delight in my observations; Oh life! What is more wonderful than you?
Then my whims took me to the dome of a tall building
In a very big and modern city that I only know in watching movies;
I enter inside the auditorium where wealthy and society's icons gather in a big party;
I am here to perform, as expected;
I dance, do acrobats and then I render my finale before my exit;
The exit I do by leaping so high up through the ceiling and up to the rooftop;
I am back up in the sky;
Looking down and seeing my audience without the obstruction of the ceiling and the roof;
They are still applauding, cheering, jumping, screaming...and wondering where I am;
Such an unusual performance! Such a feeling! I am almost tempted to stay and belong;
But I know that I am in slumber land; everything here is fleeting;
Everything is wonderful;
Everything is possible;
I can fly high above and beyond cloud nine and up to the third heavens;
I can walk on water and sink down below the bluest ocean;
Everything is just a click in my mind and everything comes up in a wink;
Life is but a dream;
And a dream is just temporary;
Everything in it come and go;
If my temporal reality in the material plane is full of difficulty;
I know of one thing to do;
I switch my reality to the place where everything is possible;
My Slumber Land!
